Viseu wasn´t on our plans, but on a sunny afternoon of our holiday, we heard on the radio that was taking place in the city an event called “Jardins Efémeros” (Ephemeral Gardens). We could not exactly tell what kind of event it was, but we were curious to learn more about this initiative. Minutes later, we were looking for accommodation for the next few days. Luckily, we found this magnificent apartment.
Be My Guest – Loft Guest House offers a great location, right in the centre. This accommodation is housed in an elegant nineteenth-century building, completely renovated. Personally, I love when accommodations bet on the renovation of old spaces giving it a new life.
It´s important to inform the property about 30 minutes before your arrival. When we arrived a nice gentleman came to deliver us the key, do the check-in and payment. He also arranged us, immediately, a parking spot, right next to the house.
When we arrived at the apartment, we had a bottle of wine welcoming us, as an offering. There are 6 apartments and all include a kitchenette with a dining table.
Our apartment was very large. It had 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette with a sofa and a flat-screen TV. The sofa was very comfy.
Here, you will find the stairways that give access to the room. It has air conditioning in the two floors.
Price and reservations
We made a last minute booking and paid 70€ for a night in Loft Deluxe B. It can get cheaper, and more expensive as well, it depends on your dates. To make a reservation and check the price, click here.
There are a lot of reasons to visit Viseu. This is also the city of the master of Renaissance painting, Vasco Fernandes, also known as Grão Vasco. You can admire his works in the museum that bear his name, the Museu Nacional Grão Vasco. It´s free on the 1st Sunday of the month. We decided to go and didn´t regret, we were very impressed with his works. You can discover 5 Things Not to Miss In Viseu, here.
